    Premium

Red Oak is the most widely used and abundant hardwood species in the United States. Its one of a kind grain pattern is a recognizable staple in many of America’s finest homes. Shamrock’s Premium Red Oak plank flooring, harvested in the Appalachian region, will include the wide grain variations inherent in Red Oak along with limited smooth, tight knots, an occasional mineral streak, and burls. Try mixing in a random width pattern to create an individual look just right for your application.

    Natural

Red Oak is easily sawn and dried, machines well, and takes finishes beautifully. Shamrock’s Natural Red Oak, ranging in color from pinkish to brown, features the character marks, small knots, and color variations that create striking floors, reflecting the natural beauty of this species. It is ideal for customers who are looking for variety and uniqueness, particularly in country homes or mountain lodges where a more natural look is desired.

    Premium Rift & Quartered

Shamrock is one of only a few U.S. manufacturers producing Premium-grade Rift & Quartered Red Oak. Our sawing technique produces a distinctive ribbon and flake appearance used to create a masterpiece floor. This more stable Red Oak product crafted by the rift and quartering process is popular in high-end homes, prime upscale buildings, and retail locations. This product combines the strength of Red Oak with the added stability of the rift and quartered grain making it a great choice for high traffic areas.

    Natural Rift & Quartered

Shamrock specializes in the sawing process that produces the rift and quartered grain pattern. This special cut provides consistency, beauty, and a naturally unrefined quality. Accentuating the perpendicular grain pattern Natural Rift & Quartered Red Oak adds both character and stability to this species. Large volumes of this unique cut are installed in homes in the southeastern United States due to its success in higher humidity environments.
