Unfinished Plank Flooring
Shamrock employees appreciate the importance of hardwood floors and the contribution they make to a customer’s satisfaction with their flooring. Hardwood floors add both value and beauty to any location. Shamrock specializes in four different species for customers’ hardwood floors. Each species has its own personality and provides multiple choices for various applications. Shamrock provides a specialized Rift and Quartered cut in Red and White Oak and our Walnut. Skilled lumber graders pull this cut from both Premium and 1 Common grades for Red and White Oak. Walnut Rift and Quartered is only pulled from our Premium grade.
Widths in each species range from 2 1/4 to 8 inches. The narrower widths deliver more of an assortment of color and character variation, while the wider widths give a more uniform and impressive appearance. When widths are varied, a random or stepping appearance is revealed in the flooring.
Shamrock is recognized as the best in the business when it comes to producing hardwood flooring. A distinct advantage of Shamrock Flooring is the start-to-finish flow of lumber from associate divisions to completions at the Shamrock plant in Memphis. It all starts in Montezuma, Indiana where a Shamrock sawmill division, Superior Hardwoods, is located. Wood is processed into kiln-dried lumber at either the Indiana location or the Memphis location where J.T. Shannon Lumber Company is headquartered. The lumber is then planed, ripped, molded, graded and packaged to strict specifications. It is evident to Shamrock customers that the flooring has been overseen with quality and care through a controlled, precision process, which makes Shamrock Plank Flooring the best choice in the industry.
