Shamrock Plank Flooring (Memphis, TN) is pleased to announce an important addition to the Team of Professionals serving the Hardwood Flooring needs of their customers. James R. (Jim) Lennon joined the Company as the Director of Flooring Sales in the Shamrock Plank Flooring Division. Jim is supported and assisted by the Company’s leadership and his Shamrock Plank Flooring associates. He is dedicated to assuring Shamrock customers the best possible flooring products and services.

Jim’s experience in the Hardwood products industry prepared him well for assuming this critical role at Shamrock. His thirteen-year career with Armstrong World Industries provided a wide array of Hardwood knowledge including flooring and cabinetry. Serving as Armstrong’s National Accounts Field Sales Manager gave Jim an advanced level of sales experience and an appreciation for the complete customer needs process. He is solution driven and service oriented - the principles professed by Shamrock Plank Flooring.

Memphis, TN - Shamrock Plank Flooring has recently completed construction of its second flooring mill. The 40,000-square-foot facility will add 50 new employees per shift and is designed to increase the company’s production volume by up to 50%. The new mill is designed to specialize in running strip Red and White Oak in order to compliment Shamrock’s full range of plank products. Shamrock Plank Flooring also operates a 60,000-square-foot plant, which began producing plank hardwood flooring three years ago.

Shamrock produces high-quality plank flooring products using North American hardwoods, like Walnut, Hickory, Red Oak, and White Oak. The planks, available in widths from 2 ¼” to 8”, are used in upscale homes. Shamrock provides a specialized Rift and Quartered cut in Red Oak, White Oak and Walnut. Skilled lumber graders pull this cut from both Premium and 1 Common grades for Red and White Oak. Walnut Rift and Quartered is only pulled from Premium grade lumber.

Shamrock Plank Flooring is a division of the Memphis-based Shannon Lumber Group. Other divisions include J.T. The collection’s pre-finished Hickory, manufactured right in Shamrock Plank Flooring’s own facility, is micro-beveled on all four edges and is available in 3 to 6” widths. In addition to The Shannon Collection, Shamrock Plank Flooring also offers unfinished Hickory, Walnut, Red Oak and White Oak.
