American Black Walnut remains one of America's most widely known and most valuable hardwood species. American Black Walnut makes up only about two percent of our forests, a distinct rarity that makes this hardwood such a valuable commodity. American Black Walnut has had an illustrious history, as it is often the centerpiece of antique furniture and moldings in both 18th Century and Victorian interiors. Shamrock is proud to be the largest producer of American Black Walnut Plank Flooring. American Black Walnut used in Shamrock Plank Flooring grows primarily in the Mid-West, where only the finest Appalachian hardwoods are harvested. Shamrock's sawmill operation, Superior Hardwoods, is located in the middle of lush, temperate forests.
